Pun - Thai Lao Lettuce Wraps

It has been a while since my last post and today, I felt ambitious and decided to cook, video tape, and share my Thai and Lao recipes with you.

This recipe is called "Pun" and it means "to wrap". When I host a dinner party for just the girls, I like to prepare pun because we'll eat and socialize and never feel full. Basically, it is a finger food salad recipe. Here's to your health. Cheers!

In this free video, I grilled firm tofu but you can also pun with Chicken & Shrimp curry skewers, and Fish with Thai Lao Herbs.

Appetizer Recipe: Pun Tofu
Lettuce of any type: Radicchio, Romain, and Boston
chopped tomatoes
chopped cucumber
chopped green onions
chopped coriander or mint
bean sprouts
Spring Roll Dipping Sauce
vermicelli noodle bundle

Tear a piece of lettuce to the size of your palm. Load the listed ingredients on top of the lettuce. Spoon in dipping sauce, wrap, and enjoy. Make sure each lettuce wrap is small so it fits into your mouth.

Please refer to the list of Product Prices on how to get access to all the Thai & Lao Food dvds and recipe books.

Thanks so much for sticking to the regional cuisine that is often underrepresented at Thai restaurants and in Thai cookbooks.

Your photos are refreshing, and make me hungry!

These look easy to make! I love the Thai Wraps from our local store.. It's hard to find good ones in Houston, but this recipe looks so good I think it's worth the search!
Kudos!

I love Laotian food but can never find it in LA anywhere. Where do you shop for your ingredients? Also... would you have any recipes for Laotian papaya salad and beef jerky?

I love lettuce! Aside from being rich in potassium and dietary fiber, it is also rich in calcium! A few knows about it. And that's the reason why I love having it on my regular diet. Aside from making my body healthy, it also helps my teeth healthier. I never thought life can be so blissful here in Los Angeles. Cosmetic dentists don't have to worry about my teeth with the healthy living I am enjoying here in the city of angels - Los Angeles. Teeth whitening is never my problem either coz' I know how to keep them pearly white with my organic recipes. I hope everyone, will enjoy their lettuce delight.
